Last Friday, a citizen who lives out in the county reportedly found a live M60 grenade at her home. She brought it into town and showed it to police, Chief Milton Willmann stated.Officers removed the woman to an isolated area for safety and contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

A military convoy made a short stop in Blanco on April 11, blocking the southbound lanes of US 281 while they made sure a utility pole wasn’t damaged.  When they didn’t find any damage, the convoy set off again.

An officer with the Blanco Police Department made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Mesquite St. on March 2. During the stop, the officer discovered prescription drugs in the vehicle. An 18-year-old white male was arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous drug. The drugs were confiscated as evidence.
