Letter to the Editor: Several months ago Dirt Works approached Rudy at the Blanco Post Office for two new post office boxes. We were told that there were no boxes available and Rudy’s suggestion was for us to put up a mailbox on Hwy 281 at Rolling Hills Road. Most of you know me. I was probably your old mailman for years until I retired back in July of 2006. My name is Chuck Homan. I tried, for all of the thirty three years I delivered mail, to give my customers the best service I could. One thing I could not do was get mail delivery to all the people on my route that wanted to get mail delivered on the street.
