July 3, 2007- A Special Meeting of the Blanco County Commissioners Court convened at 9:12 A.M. in order to discuss contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, and a pending claim by the Texas Historical Commission (THC) against the Court regarding the installation of what the THC determined to be historically incorrect vinyl windows.

A group of around 50 citizens met at the Gem of the Hills Community Center on Thursday, July 19, to discuss the postmaster at the Blanco Post Office. The meeting was called by Debbie Triesch of Dirt Works and Robin Moore of Dirt Rents, both local companies which have had problems with the postal service in Blanco. On Thursday, July 19, the original class action lawsuit against the Pedernales Electric Cooperative with Lee Beck Lawrence as named plaintiff was dismissed without prejudice at 3:34 p.m. by District Court Judge John Dietz in Austin. According to court records, earlier that same day, at 8:40 a.m., a new class action lawsuit had been filed against the PEC with John Worrall as the lead plaintiff representing the class.
