The FBI is asking people to beware of e-mails claiming to be raising money to help victims of the recent earthquake in China. Often times there is confusion among Christians about exactly Who or What The Holy Spirit is. Sometimes He is referred to as a person; other times as a gift. Sometimes His ministry is to the church (2Cor 3:18); other times it is to unbelievers (Jn 16:7-11). Most people can relate to the concept of God being a father, as well as a son.

Rick, Steve and Boomer slowly approached their number one duck pond in Rick’s brand new, insanely expensive SUV. “Loaded” didn’t do the rig justice, but may have better described Rick’s condition when he bought the thing. The seven-year note and Rick’s construction supervisor paycheck made as much sense as a chainsaw at a Greenpeace rally.

National Treasure 2
Keith-
Here’s a huge blockbuster sequel that didn’t quite live up to the hype, and was definitely not as much of a treasure as the first. The story line was not up to par with the first, and the whole thing really didn’t take the time to get the whole story, and I’m not so sure the story was really worth more explanation.

AUSTIN, Texas — While boating fatalities dropped nationwide in 2007, they climbed in Texas — despite one of the wettest summers on record that closed many lakes and reservoirs for a portion of the boating season.
Texas had 52 boating fatalities in 2007, the highest number since 2002. The overall number of accidents (260) and injuries (181) were up, too, from 2006.
Most of those tragedies were preventable, authorities say, since on average 85 percent of boating fatality drowning victims wh ...

Dear Editor,
Having studied the financial statement for the Blanco Cemetery Association in the Blanco County News, April 30, 2008, I have three questions for the directors.
First, what are membership dues? I have four plots in the cemetery, and no one has notified me about membership dues. I have asked several other association members, and they don't seem to know either.
Second, maintenance expenses are listed as $15,477.65.

Positive thinking isn't just a worldly way of life; it's LIFE in our Lord, to think of yourself as a wonderful, beautiful, handsome, child of God.

It was on television, for goodness’ sake--strictly “play-like” any way you slice it. Not a single turkey lost its life; nay, not even a feather was disturbed in the WKRP in Cincinnati sit-com episode that aired almost 30 years ago.
You remember it--or hearing about it. They dropped live turkeys from a helicopter in a Thanksgiving promotion.
The stumbling/bumbling manager of the radio station, Arthur Carlson, was bombarded by an enraged public.
