One more slam on hunting over corn feeders and I’m going to lose my lunch. One must ask: “Feeder scorn, feeder ignorance, or feeder envy?” I find it no odd coincidence those forbidden to partake, more often than not, are those who decry the practice. Before my gurgling gut goes to town, let’s examine this “unfair” activity. The first manmade projectile capable of out-running its target made hunting unfair, not the corn feeder.

Noel I was not looking forward to watching this movie, in fact, I didn’t want to watch it at all. But Keith brought it home, so we did. I am so thankful that he did because this is a fabulous movie! It reminds me of Crash and 11:14. Vantage Point is an on the edge of your seat, suspenseful thriller that involves multiple contradictory stories that tie all together in the end for a very satisfying ending.

AUSTIN - President Bush on July 24 granted Gov. Rick Perry’s July 23 request for a Major Presidential Disaster Declaration as Hurricane Dolly walloped South Texas. The declaration helps pay for emergency expenditures that occurred before, during and after the hurricane. But, Gov. Perry wrote again to the president on July 31, to speed “individual assistance” to people whose homes were damaged but ...

For their part, the "terrorists" watched back, trying to ID the cops. They pegged some, but not all, while the officers were able to tag all of the Blanco Baddies. "We sought the law,"

The book of Esther is one of the most wonderful stories in The Bible. In it, God’s character, goodness, righteous judgment, preserving power- and His sense of humor - are clearly seen. While there are many life lessons that can be learned through this book, I would like today to focus on three in particular.

We have no way of knowing how many “Hal Rowes” there are on the planet. Hopefully, there are more than might be guessed. Had his recent donation been made a couple of millennia earlier, it might have made the Bible as an example of Jesus’ “Love Thy Neighbor” admonition. In this case, the donee is a long-time casual friend--a retired music minister named Randy Parsons.

Dear Editor, I hope all this gets sorted out to the advantage of Blanco residents. I have two elderly aunts who live in Blanco who are not in the best of health, one more so than the other. It is imperative, when the need arises, that either one gets an ambulance within a reasonable amount of time to take care of them and, if need be, take them to a medical facility.
