As a school administrator I was always looking for ways to recognize accomplishment. It was relatively easy in a school of 340 students but it became somewhat more difficult in a school of 3,200. Over the years, I had experience in both settings and everything in-between. Of course, there was always place for formal recognition of the people who made you look good—such things as public praise in various and sundry meetings and conferences, certificates of appreciation, plaques, ...

The normal procedure is for the 150-member House to choose a speaker on day one, right after roll call is taken, the oath of office administered, and House rules adopted.

During my high school years, a fellow student gained national attention by cutting his two cars in half and joining the front sections back to back. There was no rear seat in this modified Model A Ford; only two front seats and two steering wheels facing opposite directions. Memory allows me to see again the faces of confused and amused onlookers when the celebrated car surgeon sat at one steering wheel with his brother positioned at the other while driving through town in a parade.

My husband loves to watch sports on TV. I’m home, sitting in my favorite chair with my laptop in my lap, and the TV is on, and the movement of the guys playing football are in my side vision. Lawrence is courteous and doesn’t mind watching with the volume on mute when he knows I’m working on my writings.

Vote on the BCN Poll by clicking BCN/Topics to the right. You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows… well, I guess I do, Mr. Dylan. I’m not sure what the new sign for the Blanco Luxury Suites means for our town. Do we want to embrace a small Texas Hill Country town feel, a suburban enclave of a large city or an area with no direction at all?

Concepts are similar, and everything starts with analysis, planning, and fulfillment. So in continuing with that logic, I came up with the following; First off, we have to analyze what needs to be done.
