On Saturday night, over 60 daddies escorted their little ladies to a special evening where they danced, took carriage rides, and had their pictures taken. The guys had all polished their boots and put on their best and the girls sparkled from head to toe. The night was made possible by the Franklin Family for allowing the event to take place at the Second Mile Rec.

Boy how time has flown by. I was thinking the other day about how my little hometown of Blanco has changed. When I was about 7 years old, I can remember going to downtown and being allowed to wander through all of the wonderful stores that Blanco had to offer. I will start at the traffic light that is now there—but was only a yellow caution light back in the day.

Come celebrate Resurrection “Easter Sunrise Service” Sunday morning, April 24, at Yett Park. Pastor Rusty Hicks informed me at the “Light Night” event last October that it has been three years since Blanco came together for the Easter Sunrise Service. The outpouring of love at the “Light Night” and the community’s response are part of the motivators for this Easter Sunrise Service.
