Hebrews 10:23 says “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised”. The reason we can stand firm on The Word of God and not doubt, is because Jesus is faithful. Faithful means you can be trusted; it means you can be counted on; it means you’re reliable and honest.

A visit to my doctor launched him on a search to find the reason for a feeling of heaviness in my chest. Thankfully, I passed the electrocardiogram with flying colors, but that was just the beginning. I was then scheduled for an echocardiogram and stress test. Life is filled with stress tests so we must learn how to handle them. I had the advantage of knowing the date and time of my stress test appointment.

Dear Editor, I typically read Letters to the Editor with amusement as I follow the many varying opinions and ideas related to such hot topics as, most recently, the new sign ordinance. However, I feel compelled to respond to the letter from Penny Conn (Letters to the Editor, 21 September 2011) whereby she declares a “take it or leave it” stand, using words such as “arrogant” to describe newcomers to Blanco, of which I am one.

I also spoke to a lot of people when I took the petitions around town. The overwhelming consensus was that people and businesses just want to be left alone.
