“Many do not resist Satan for fear that it may be the reproof of the Holy Spirit. They cannot distinguish between satanic accusation and the reproach of the Holy Spirit. Hence, they accept Satan’s accusation as a reproach of the Holy Spirit. How can one tell the difference? Accusation from Satan is never clear and sharp; whereas revelation from God through the Spirit is always distinct and to the point.” - Watchman Nee. James tells us to resist the devil, and he will flee from us.

It’s so important for us to have a continual communication with our Lord God, because He is our ‘All In All.” He wants to be our best friend, and is always willing to give us His wisdom; all we have to do is ask! James 1:5-8 “5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.” (Buddha) One doesn’t lift a hand or finger without first the thought to do so, even at the unconscious level. The feelings we feel are the result of thought. Just this evening, my 10 year old daughter said, regarding my 6 year old son, “He never listens!

July flew by so quickly. It seems the regular garden chores haven’t been completed. This is the strangest summer, weather-wise, I can remember, but being a gardener we must prepare for the Fall Garden. Stop pinching mums, asters, blackberry vines, and poinsettias. By the middle of the month, webworms may be a problem, especially in pecan trees.

Back in the 1980’s the high school where I worked touted the finest fine arts facility in west Texas. As the Director of Fine Arts, I felt an obligation to make sure the facility was used not only for school activities but for community enrichment as well. In order for that to occur, we trained a crew of high school students that was charged with “making the magic happen.” We called them the “Blackshirts” because they dressed in black and worked mostly out of sight behind the scenes.
