Editor,

This is the old retired mail carrier writing, one last time, to update the postal patrons of Blanco on the latest events that have taken place at that office.

First of all, I need to thank Ms. Cindy Martinez, of the APWU, for the work she did on behalf of my wife, Postal Clerk Pattie Homan. Because of the working conditions and the hostile environment that was going on inside of that office, Pattie had put in for a transfer to Spring Branch three months ago.

On Friday August 17th Ms. Martinez was finally able to get the transfer completed. Once again there was someone, who in the face of adversity, “stood up and did the right thing”.

Thank you Cindy...

If you want to see Pattie, at work now, you will have to make the short drive to Spring Branch. I am sure she would like to see you there.

Many thanks to all of you who have come up to me and thanked me for the letters I have written over the last several months. It is good to know that you are reading and keeping up with what has been going on at the Blanco Post Office.
