Blanco Project Graduation wishes to extend a hearty thank you to everyone who supported us during the Pancake Supper/Silent Auction last week! The Blanco Lions Club sponsored the event at Trinity Lutheran Church. Approximately 150 people were served pancakes by a team of 12 Lions Club members, several Project Graduation parents, and about 25 Project Graduation seniors. The seniors served during rotating shifts, and were available to flip pancakes, bus tables, and just help as needed. Although several different “pancake chefs” cooked pancakes, all pancakes had the same delicious taste. One patron remarked that the pancakes were “wonderful!”
The Silent Auction was also very successful, and Project Graduation would like to thank the generous donors who contributed so many wonderful items for our silent auction. Finally, we thank you, the Blanco Community, for your support! Project Graduation is a substance-free lock-in for graduates on graduation night. Community endorsement enables them to have a safe and fun activity after graduation, and an opportunity to gather one last time as a class. We thank you so very much for investing in our young people!
