Kenneth Ray Bearden

Kenneth Ray Bearden, 78, of North Augusta, SC, passed away March 16, 2011 in Johnson City, Texas.  He was born in Childress, TX to William Andrew and Ritha Mae Clarke Bearden.  Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and his eight brothers and sisters.  He is survived by his son, Brent Bearden and wife Kimberly of Ft. Collins, CO; daughter, Janna Lynn Douglas and husband Joel of Weatherford, TX; first wife, Mary Ann Casparis Bearden; four granddaughters, Samantha Bearden, Amanda Douglas, Ashton Douglas, and Savannah Bearden.  Kenneth is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.  Ken was an avid outdoorsman who loved golfing, fishing, and hunting.  He was a long time member of National Shoot To Retrieve Association.  He loved working his bird dogs and loved the competition.  Wherever he went, he was loved by all.  You could tell he was a Texan, you just couldn’t tell him much. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City with Rev. Ernest Topper officiating.  Pallbearers will be Brent Bearden, Steve Harrison, Joel Douglas, Drew Blackston, Chad Blackston, and Joey Hadden.  Honorary Pallbearer is Jerry Casparis.
