The Blanco Police Department has released a report regarding the March 28 accident.

A Mazda Tribute, registered in San Antonio, and a Dodge Ram, registered in Blanco, were involved. Each vehicle had two occupants. According to the report, the driver of the Tribute, a 26-year-old female, failed to yield right of way at the stop sign while heading north on Mesquite St. The Dodge Ram truck was heading west on 4th St, driven by a 22-year-old female, when the Tribute pulled into her lane of traffic.

The collision caused substantial damage to the front of the Dodge and to the side of the Tribute.

The driver of the Tribute complained of back pain and was transported to a landing zone south of Blanco, where she was transferred to AirLife and was transported to University Hospital in San Antonio. The driver of the Dodge Ram received a non-incapacitating injury, and the passengers in both vehicles were not injured.

Charges were filed against the driver of the Tribute for failing to yield right of way after a stop and for driving while her license was invalid.

In November 2010, another accident occurred at the same intersection. In that accident, a pickup truck rolled over onto its roof next to Longhorn Land.
