Help Clean Up Blanco This Saturday
Trash-Off Day Set for April 2
Wednesday, March 30, 2011 • Posted April 1, 2011

Keep Blanco Beautiful asks the residents of Blanco to police their property this weekend. Spending 10 minutes picking up the litter that has gathered on your property will help keep our little town tidy. Please do your part!

There will be several groups gathering trash along the city right-of-ways and the creek beds Saturday morning. Please be considerate of these good citizens as you drive about town. They are volunteers doing their part to make Blanco an attractive place to live and visit. If you wish to help, join us at 9 a.m. in Bindseil Park to pick up supplies and be assigned an area to police.

Do your part to Keep Blanco Beautiful on a daily basis. Do not throw cans, bottles or fast food containers on our roadways! Carry a plastic bag on your walks and gather trash as you come upon it. Remember, there is no money in our city budget to pay for collecting litter along our roads. It is not the city’s job to pick up after us!

A reminder: The city yard will not be open for trash drop-off. The day to get rid of your unwanted junk is Saturday morning, April 16, at the Transfer Station on Transfer Road, south of Johnson City.
