Wednesday, March 30, 2011 • Posted April 1, 2011

Now in its fourth year, Bicycle Sport Shop presents the Real Ale Ride, which rolls through the hills of the scenic Texas Hill Country.

This year the Ride will begin and end at the Real Ale Brewing Company grounds for a spirited celebration of local beer, music and food.

The Real Ale Ride is fully supported and designed for all levels of cyclists, with route distances of 15, 30, 50, 65 and 80 miles.

It is the largest ride in the 2011 Bicycle Sport Shop Signature Cycling Series, seven cycling events designed to provide year-round safe, unique and fun riding opportunities for all kinds of cyclists at every level.

Bicycle Sport Shop and Real Ale Brewing Company are proud to announce that the proceeds from the 2010 Real Ale Ride, $6000, have been donated to Yett Memorial Park. These funds will be used to purchase and install two large fans for the covered pavilion at the Park, which will help keep the area cool on hot summer days.

This year, all event profits will benefit The Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center (HCCAC), a non-profit organization created to minimize the trauma of child abuse victims.
