Lady Panthers Split District Games

The Lady Panthers fell to the Junction Lady Eagles on Tuesday, March 22, but recorded a 20-1 win over the Ingram Lady Warriors on Friday, March 26.

Against the Eagles, the Panthers struck first with four runs in the first inning. The Eagles hit back and led 6-7 at the end of the third inning. Blanco regained the lead, 8-7, until the Eagles scored three runs in the sixth to lead again for a final score of 8-10. Callie Culton hit two singles and a double with two runs and a RBI. Taylor Guinn nailed a single and a double with three RBI’s. Angel Williams scored two runs and Kelsey Schwind added three RBI’s. Culton pitched for Blanco.

Blanco scored quickly against the Ingram Warriors, leading 7-0 at the end of the first inning. Up 12-0 at the top of the fifth, Blanco batters exploded with eight runs to finish the game 20-1. Taylor Guinn hit two singles and two doubles for two runs and six RBI’s. Leslie McClinton had two singles and a double, and scored four runs. Callie Culton hit three singles for three runs and two RBI’s. Callie Culton, Chandler Ashley, and Meaghen Seales pitched for the Panthers.

The Panthers are 1 and 1 in District 8AA with two more district games scheduled this week. The Harper Lady Horns came to town Tuesday, March 29, and Blanco will travel to Comfort on Friday, April 1.
