Blanco County Aggie Moms to Hold Garage Sale for Scholarships
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 • Posted April 13, 2011

Everyone please mark your calendars! On Saturday, April 16, Blanco County Aggie Moms will have some excellent opportunities for you. Our annual Garage Sale will be held from 8am – 2pm at 603 Fourth Street (Immels Dairy Service).  Sale items will include large appliances, furniture, yard items and appliances, Christmas items, clothing, and much, much more!  Blanco County Aggie Moms is a nonprofit organization, and all funds received go to fund scholarships for incoming freshmen.

Blanco County Aggie Moms was incorporated in 2006 and includes Aggie Moms from Johnson City and Blanco. The group holds regular meetings and welcomes new Aggies and their families each year with the annual summer picnic. Blanco County Aggie Moms also distributes goody bags to our Aggie students during semester finals, recognizes our students for graduation and birthdays, and contributes to various Aggie-sponsored events.

The primary emphasis of our fundraising efforts are dedicated toward scholarships for incoming Aggie freshmen. Each year, Aggie Moms combines funds with those of the Blanco County A&M Association of Former Students, and we have increased our contributions substantially each year.

Next fall, an exceptionally large number of freshmen will attend Texas A&M University from Blanco County. Current numbers are upwards of 12… whoop!  We look forward to the opportunity to assist these young people. Please come out and help us support them next Saturday, April 16!
