Mixed Doubles Team Advances to Regionals - Sports - Blanco County News

The District 8AA Tennis Tournament was held in Junction on April 6 and 7. Blanco’s mixed doubles team, Austin Carrola and Kelsey Schwind, won the district title. Mishelle Calzoncit placed fourth in varsity girls singles and Megan Wier took a medal for second place junior varsity girls singles. Other Blanco participants were: Brooks Lane, boys singles; Kellam Nabers and Ryan Wagner Davis, boys doubles; Joanna Delavan and Alley Penshorn, girls doubles; and Rebecca Dowlearn and Christina Collins, girls singles.

Carrola and Schwind will travel to Odessa for the Region I Tournament, which will be held April 20 and 21.
