"The Chamber felt that it was important that Blanco area citizens have an opportunity to meet the candidates they will vote for next month," said Marcy Westcott, Chamber Vice-President, who hosted the event.

"We were somewhat disappointed that more citizens didn’t take advantage of the opportunity," she continued, "but we were delighted that the candidates showed their willingness to participate.  The Chamber urges all Blanco area citizens to become engaged in the process and vote on May 14th."

Polls will be open for voting in the Blanco Elementary School from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday, May 14, for both the Blanco City election and the Blanco ISD election.  Residents of the City of Blanco who are registered to vote can vote in both elections.  Residents living in the Blanco Independent School District but not in the City of Blanco can vote in the Blanco ISD election only.

Early voting for both elections is May 2 through May 10.  Early voting for the Blanco City election is in Blanco City Hall.  Early voting for the Blanco ISD election will take place in the ISD administrative offices next to the Blanco elementary school.
