Blanco, Johnson City Chambers Vote to Support County EDC
Wednesday, April 20, 2011 • Posted April 23, 2011

Both the Blanco Chamber of Commerce and the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce joined the Blanco County Economic Development Corporation in their commitment to economic development by signing resolutions last week to formally support the Blanco County Strategic Economic Development Plan.

Blanco County EDC President Joe Stewart was encouraged that the local chambers immediately seized on the opportunity to support a plan that would benefit local business and citizens of Blanco County. ”Support from our chambers of commerce is critical to the success of economic development; local chambers represent the businesses in our community who daily understand the challenges of sustained business growth”.  “We are confident that the lead that these organizations have provided will be followed by other organizations in the county as the opportunity is presented.”

The Blanco County Economic Development Corporation strives to encourage business growth and economic development in Blanco County. Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday each month, alternating between Blanco and Johnson City.  All meetings are open to the public.  For more information, go to www.blancocountyedc.com.
