Blanco firefighters, an EMS crew, and police responded to a report of a structure fire on the northwest corner of Cherry and 2nd streets in the evening of April 16.  No one was home at the time.  Firefighters entered the smoke-filled mobile home, reportedly did not see flames, and found the cause to be an electrical short in a wall.  A PEC employee turned off the electricity to the home.
