The Blanco boys golf team placed first in district, while the girls team placed third. The first and second place teams advanced to regionals on April 18 and 19 in Odessa, as well as the top six individual players.
Tanner Rogers had a two-day total of 158, shooting 81 on the first day and 77 on the second. T.J. Hardin placed fifth individually with 178. James Leachman shot a 183, while Lance Hoelting followed closely with 186. Braden Batey shot 201. The two-day total for the team was 359; Ingram was second with 402, 43 strokes behind Blanco.
The girls team was led by Ammalee Arlitt, who shot a 195 to capture fourth place individually and secure a trip to regionals. Presley Savarino shot 209, Elaine Tamez finished with 211, Rachel York shot 212, and Alicia Immel shot 218. The girls team finished only nine strokes behind the second place team, Ingram. Comfort came in first with 366.
