The wind is blowing the wildfires in West Texas.  Here in the Blanco watershed we have been spared from the flames that can do so much damage.  In comparison, it almost seems silly to write about the litter the wind blows about.  Please be careful!  Carelessly tossed cigarette butts can start a fire.  Sun shining through a broken glass bottle can start a fire.  Wind blows fast food containers into the river, threatening wildlife who ingest the trash.  Please take care to secure all loose items in your vehicles and do not leave cans, bottles and paper items on the side of the road.  Make sure your trash can lids are securely closed.  We can all do our part to prevent disasters.

A shout-out to the residents along Fulcher who take the time to pick up carelessly discards cans when they take out their trash for pick-up.  Thanks for being good citizens!
