I was born in a small town in West Texas called Hamlin. I moved away when I graduated high school in 1975. I married in 1984 to Bill Meyer, a great person, friend, and husband, who has always supported me throughout the years. We have four children: Samantha, Calvin, Lindsey and Kellie. I would not be here  if it wasn’t for my wonderful mother. I lived in Lubbock, Corpus Christi and Sugar Land. I now live in Fischer, Texas in a cute little yellow house. I’m going on my second year in the Tejas Art Club. I really enjoy being in the Art Club with lots of great people and a great president, Olga Ibarra. My last year in Hamlin I took an oil painting class. I was encouraged to try by a very dear friend, who asked me to paint her a picture, so I did. This painting had been my first. I love doing all kinds of art. I work with oils, watercolor, and acrylic. I was self-taught to all of these mediums. I love painting and I can’t wait to see my finished products. Just remember, anyone can paint, all you need is practice. If you would like to know more about the Tejas Art Club, you can reach Olga at 830-833-1966.
