There have been many sightings of Ada Cooley in the last few weeks – one was even with Dolores and Howard Cox!

In other news, things are starting to hop around Blanco (and I don’t mean the Easter bunny)! This weekend is the Tiny West Memorial Bull Riding at Yett Park.

Next weekend is one nobody will want to miss – everything is timed just right, so you can go from one event to another, starting with Market Days, the Real Ale bike ride, the car show at Blanco State Park, and, to top it off, the Bands for the Band at Yett Park from 3:00pm until dark-thirty!

There will be a dance at Kendalia Halle on May 14 featuring Blanco’s own Bobby Flores and the band! A good opportunity to put on your dancing shoes and cut a rug!

The annual general meeting of the Friends of the Library will be held May 17 at 7:00pm at the library. The speaker will be Sibby Barrett of Onion Creek Kitchens – and she will be bringing lots of treats with her! You don’t want to miss it, and you might even want to become a Friend of the Library on the strength of Sibby’s cooking!

Due to a family illness, Heron’s Nest Herb Farm will be closed for the rest of the year.

And last but certainly not least – our really, really good thoughts and prayers go out to Bob Dorsett (and Judy).
