The Lady Panthers fell to the Clyde Lady Bulldogs in an Area playoff, best 2 of 3 game series. On Friday, Clyde won the first game, 2-1. Clyde then finished the series on Saturday with an 11-3 win.

The Friday night game was a nail-biter to the very end. Blanco loaded the bases in the sixth inning, but could only score one run on a throwing error by the Bulldogs. Callie Culton pitched for Blanco and hit two singles to lead the batters. Kelsey Schwind hit a single on a bunt and Meaghen Seales scored a run.

On Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and added a sixth run in the second. Blanco then smashed some hits to score, bringing the count to 6-3. But Clyde put four more runs on the board in the seventh to close the game. Meaghen Seales pitched for the Panthers and hit two singles. Callie Culton hit a single and a double and scored a run and a RBI. Leslie McClinton and Angel Williams each hit a single and scored a run. Taylor Guinn hit a single and a RBI.

Clyde will face Wall in the regional quarterfinals.
