Dear Editor,

Blanco ISD would like to thank the voters who voted in the May 14 bond election.

We would also like to recognize and thank the members of our Citizens Advisory Committee, who met throughout the summer, fall, and winter of 2010 – 2011 to put together a bond package that would both meet the district’s facility needs, and be acceptable to the majority of the voters of the district. These members are: Jennifer Baker, Hollis Boatright, Travis Davis, Arlin Dowdy, Dr. Barbara Dugelby, Norma Jean Felps, Roger Felps, Kelle Gombert, Connie Granberg, Jan Granberg, Becky Greathouse, Jimmy Klepac, Larry Kuebel, Jim Latham, Harold Lord, Dennis Moore, Tim Nance, Ken Olfers, Pierre Perez, Stuart Stromeyer, and the late Bernice West.

The district will now focus on implementing the building improvements that the taxpayers have approved. Current plans call for the improvements to be complete by January 2013.

Again, we would like to thank our constituents who took an interest in Blanco ISD, and voted their conviction in the May 14 bond election.

Thank you very much.

Buck Ford, Superintendent
Blanco ISD
