Friends of the Library Holds Annual Meeting
Wednesday, May 25, 2011 • Posted May 27, 2011

On Tuesday, May, 17, Friends of the Blanco Library held its annual meeting at the library. Jeff Holmes, President, opened the meeting and gave and overview of the past year’s activities and accomplishments. After the treasurer’s report, installation of officers and other business was completed, the real fun began.

Sibby Barret of Onion Creek Kitchen at Juniper Hills Farm gave a fascinating account of how she found her way from Dallas to Blanco and established a premier cooking school in the heart of the hill country. After her presentation, the group enjoyed some amazing refreshments including one of Sibby’s delicious Italian crème cakes.

If you aren’t already a “Friend” of the Blanco Library, plan to drop by and join soon. The group supports the library’s many activities and keeps an ever-changing inventory by regularly purchasing new books for the community. For more information, call 830-833-4280 or visit the library’s website, [blancolib.org].
