Dear concerned members of the Blanco Historic Cemetery Association,

I have enjoyed the past two years working as Superintendent of the Blanco Historic Cemetery. For the community’s benefit, I have spent many hours in the cemetery working with other volunteers to improve physical conditions, organize and update cemetery records and feel that although there remains a tremendous amount of work to be done, much has been accomplished.

Unfortunately, prior recordkeeping and plot management practices created many difficult issues for current Directors to deal with. We have attempted to resolve these issues in a considerate and responsible manner.

In light of the fact that it has become apparent in recent public meetings that others with personal agendas find fault with our decisions and efforts, I willingly tender my resignation and pass the challenges to another.

David Seymour
