Kendalia Homecoming Set for Sun., June 26
Funds Raised for Schoolhouse
Wednesday, June 1, 2011 • Posted June 2, 2011

Despite any different dates you may have heard, the Kendalia Community Club will hold its annual fundraiser, the Kendalia Homecoming on Sunday, June 26, 2011. As always this event is at the Kendalia Schoolhouse/Library on Hwy 473 in Kendalia, Texas.

Whether you are a long time resident in the area, attended school at the Kendalia School, have family or friends in the Hill Country, or are just passing through, stop by and enjoy some great barbecued chicken and sausage, beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and maybe a few jalapenos with some iced tea to wash it all down. The portions are generous for just $8.00 for a large plate and $7.00 for a small one. Though dessert is extra, there are always delicious pies, cakes, cookies and many other homemade goodies to choose. If you are in a hurry, to-go plates will be available.

The Kendalia Community Club uses the money raised from this lunch to maintain the historic schoolhouse which is now used as a meeting place and houses a library. The meeting room and the pavillion under huge oak trees is an excellent choice for family reunions and club meetings.

So drive on out to Kendalia on June 26 and have lunch (serving starts at 11:30) and meet some old friends, or make some new ones.
