The wind snapped the flags smartly in the cemetery. The wind cooled skin damp from a dip in the river. The wind blew everything not weighted down the road and across the field. It was a windy, windy Memorial Day weekend. We can thank God that the Hill Country escaped the tornadoes that devastated Missouri and Oklahoma. What is a little wind and some trash and limbs to clean-up compared to those disasters. By the end of the three day holiday Blanco State Park was looking great, thanks to all who picked up litter. A special thanks to the picnickers along the the river at Flat Rock who left the area better than they found it. You are a blessing to the community.
