Sadly, we bid adieu to our 2010-2011 season, but, as always, we did it in style – at the Uptown Blanco Restaurant. We were escorted to the banquet room, which had a lovely view of the courtyard, although we didn’t spend a great deal of time window gazing – we were much too busy socializing. Once the social hour was over and we had finished our scrumptious lunches, we got down to the business at hand, which included introduction of our guests, Dorothy Benham, Renee Benson, Pat Bindseil, Emily Weinstein, Wendy Watson, and Theresa Mackey, and the officers for the 2011-2012 year. The new officers were introduced by Candy Cargill Wenzel in her guise this year of “Eloise, The Helpful Hint Lady.” Not only did we find out who the officers were, when they were brought up to the front of the room by “Eloise,” we got helpful household hints (and a book compiled by Ms. Cargill Wenzel, which included all those helpful hints, and then some)!
