Senior Center Hosts Activities
Art Now on Display at Library

The Blanco Senior Center is open Monday through Friday and offers a variety of activities for Blanco County’s 60+. We are located at the corner of 4th and Mesquite, just across from Blanco Regional Clinic. A monthly calendar is available by calling 830-833-2233. We are always seeking new activities and people who are interested in providing classes or just to get together with friends in an inviting setting. We offer card games, arts and crafts activities, horseshoes in the backyard, and dominoes on Wednesdays. We serve lunch at 11:15am. Please call and let us know you are coming so we can set you a place at our table.

In addition to the Senior Center activities, an art class in oils was started in January 2011. Information can be obtained by calling the Senior Center. The following currently enrolled students are presently have an art exhibition of their work at the Blanco Library and will run until June 23: Liz Begay, Shirley Ferk, Pat Hendericks, Harriet Campbell, Pete Garcia, Alice Meyers, Francis Dickey, Evelyn Heckel, Pat Percival, Betty Dugelby, Crystal Henderson, Kathy Perkins, Loretta Webster, David Cech, Leada Friar, Liz Waller-Broyal, and Olga Ibarra.
