The Blanco Church of Christ will be hosting VBS on June 13, 14, and 15 from 9:00am to 11:30am for ages two years old through the sixth grade. It is an excellent opportunity for children to learn the story of Jesus. Lessons will include a message of transforming from helpless to hopeful as Jesus heals the cripple man (John 5), a message of transforming from terrified to trusting as Peter comes to Jesus on the water (Matthew 14), a message of transforming from selfish to unselfishness as Jesus meets Zacchaeus (Luke 19), a message of transforming from defeated to determination as Jesus meets Peter at the seashore (John 21), and a message of transforming from defiant to devoted as Jesus meets Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9). All of us whether we be young or old can benefit from the transforming power of the gospel story.

On one occasion in the life of Jesus He took the children in His arms and blessed them (Mark 10:16). Certainly our Lord is pleased to have the children come and learn of His works and words. To see the excitement of children as they sing songs of God’s love and power, to see them participating with other students, and to hear first hand from them the valuable lessons they received from their teachers, is truly a good thing. This years Vacation Bible School presents a wonderful opportunity for the children.
