Jim Newman Benefit Fundraiser Set for Sat., June 25, at Yett Park
Wednesday, June 8, 2011 • Posted June 9, 2011

The lives of a well-loved Blanco family were rocked recently by a shattering medical diagnosis. Jim was diagnosed with Stage 4 renal cancer and given what doctors consider to be a fatal prognosis. The family does have health insurance but out-of-pocket medical expenses are already staggering, and after surgery to remove a kidney, Jim was unable to return to his job as Production Manager at Klepac Greenhouses. Friends of Jim and Kristine are hosting a fundraiser and would like for everyone to come out and show their support for the family.

Please mark your calendars to come out to Yett Park on Saturday, June 25 from 1pm for a day filled with fun for all ages. We will have BBQ plates, face painting, horse rides, music, potato sack races, washer tournaments, market days vendors, a bake walk, silent auction items, a live auction… and much, much more. There will also be a dance that starts at 7 pm and Cameran Nelson & Guardrail Damage Ahead will be playing.

Help spread the word about this event. If you are unable to attend and would still like to help the family, there is an account set up at Blanco National Bank. Please make checks payable to the “Jim Newman Benefit Fund” and mail them to Blanco National Bank, PO Box 38, Blanco, TX 78606.
