Blanco FFA Wins District Sweepstakes

At the Hill District FFA Awards Banquet in Center Point, the Blanco FFA Chapter was awarded the 2010-2011 Sweepstakes Award Banners for Leadership and Career Development Events for the 11th consecutive year.

Overall, the Blanco FFA qualified eight teams for state, winning three area championships and seven district titles. In addition, the Blanco FFA won a Reserve National Championship, while having numerous members win district, area and state honors in LDE and CDE competitions as well as several high-placing animals at major livestock shows across the state.

At the conclusion of the annual district banquet, Blanco FFA member Callie Culton was announced as the new Hill District FFA Vice-President for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year.

Advisors for the Blanco FFA are Felice and Jason Marek.
