Lola Emma Preiss

Lola Emma Preiss, 92, passed away on June 12, 2011 in San Antonio. She was born on October 9, 1918, the oldest of 5 children, to Willie and Alma Voigt Froboese. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Roland A. Preiss, Sr., two sons, Roland E. Preiss, Jr., and Larry Preiss, one grandchild, Curtis Bindseil, Jr., son-in-law, Curtis Bindseil, Sr., daughter-in-law, Jo Helen Preiss, her parents, one sister, and one brother.

Lola is survived by one son, Melvin Preiss (Marie) of Seguin, two daughters, Sharon Bindseil of Floresville, and Karen Reed (Butch Pape) of Blanco, 7 grandchildren, William Bindseil (Pattie) of LaVernia, Herbert Bindseil and Curtis Wayne Bindseil of Floresville, Karen Cavallin (Gordon) of San Antonio, Stacy Rapier (Michael) of Schertz, Jane Franks (Keith) of Georgetown, Amber Reed (Tim Baylor) of San Antonio, 7 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, and Andy Bindseil of LaVernia, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Erik, and Cayden Cavallin of San Antonio, two brothers, Leroy Froboese (Nellenne) of Marion and Roman Froboese of Garden Ridge, as well as several nieces and nephews, and close friends, Jerry and Arlene Stapleton and Sonny King, all from Blanco.

Services for Lola will be held on Friday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Crofts Funeral Home with Dr. Bobby Leggett officiating. Burial to follow at Twin Sisters Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 16 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Crofts Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Association, or the Blanco EMS.
