Blanco Lavender Festival Draws More
Wednesday, June 15, 2011 • Posted June 17, 2011

With 125 arts and crafts vendors, 12 food vendors, five wineries, and eight Go Texan vendors joining the four lavender farms participating this year, more than 20,000 people were estimated to have visited Blanco this past weekend.

“We’re getting good feedback,” said Penny Thomas, executive director with the Blanco Chamber of Commerce, which runs the festival.

Cars quickly filled the streets and parking lots around the square. Vendors from a winery reportedly had to book a hotel room in Marble Falls as no other rooms were available within 50 miles.

More information will be available later on the results of the festival.
