Cutting the Ribbon

Stripes held its grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting on Friday, June 24. President and CEO Steve DeSutter was on-hand to introduce the local and regional Stripes teams, as well as Blanco Chamber Executive Director Penny Thomas, Mayor Chuck Homan, Blanco Library librarian Crystal Spybuck, and others. Festivities included food samples, appearances by the Stripes mascots, and prizes. DeSutter also presented a donation check to Spybuck for the Blanco Library’s Children’s Reading Program. The store, located on US 281 south of town, adds 60 jobs to the city of Blanco.
