Edward Keith Fattig

Edward Keith Fattig, 78, passed away June 24, 2011 at his home in Blanco, TX. He was born September 12, 1932 in St. Joseph, MO to Harve Fattig and Esther Johnson Fattig. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Earline and Patty. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sophie Marie Fattig; three sons, Ed, Larry and Steve Fattig; daughter Karen Menchaca, also two brothers, Harvey and Donald Fattig; two sisters, Beverly and Candy; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Fattig proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict achieving the rank of Corporal. Ed was a resident of Houston for thirty years and has been a Blanco resident for the past eight years.

Visitation was 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Crofts Funeral Home with a Vigil service beginning at 7:00pm that evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00am Monday, June 27, 2011 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Blanco. Rite of committal followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Twin Sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association or to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
