RK Seals killed this 5-foot rattler outside our porch at the ranch on Saturday after it bit our basset hound Gus. It was eating a rabbit at the time, so the bite it gave Gus was a "dry bite"–no venom, as we found out after we took him to the emergency vet in New Braunfels.
