Can you believe we have been able to keep flowers blooming in this hot weather? It has taken its toll on all the plants, as I am sure you are experiencing some of the same problems. Today I have been hearing chances of rain. Wouldn’t that be wonderful! All the watering we can do just doesn’t do the same as rain! It has really been great to see how people are enjoying the benches by the Chamber of Commerce. The townspeople are enjoying them, as are our visitors. Tommy told me that is a good spot to sit and watch the birds working on the nest or the baby birds in that nest under the porch roof in front of Chamber. Also to just people watch!! You might thank Blanco Chamber of Commerce and Keep Blanco Beautiful for purchasing these 2 benches. It just makes around the square more welcoming.

It is also Christmas in July. That is the thinking and planning has started. We are trying to add more lights and hopefully some more scenes in the park. If you have an interest in donating a Christmas scene, just call Retta Martin at 830-833-4720 for more details.

As always, we still could use more help on Tuesday mornings. The weeds never stop growing, no matter what the weather is. Right now we are starting by 8:00 or 8:30 and stop by 10:30 usually. Even though a lot of our work is in the shade in the Park, it still gets hot. If nothing else, just stop by and see what we are doing. We enjoy people stopping to see the park and the plants.
