Blanco Lions Club Reminds Everyone to “Stuff the Bus”
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 • Posted July 28, 2011

The Blanco Lions Club will again sponsor a community effort to help the kids who will be starting school in a few weeks. The Blanco ISD will be providing a bus on Saturday, August 6. The bus will be parked on the square across from the bank (north side of the courthouse) from 9:00am to 3:00pm. It will be manned by Lions Club members and the Leos from the high school during that time.

The Lions would like the community to help with the project. The school will have a school supply list ready by the first week of August. Of course, we will try to have some lists available at the table on Saturday. Supplies will be sorted out on the bus and we can always take cash or your check to purchase supplies. There are kids in BISD, who for one reason or another, will start school without their needed supplies. This is your chance to help. The supplies will go to the school to be handed out as needed.

Please come join us and help our kids start school with their supplies, backpacks, etc. on Saturday, August 6. See you there!
