The Texas State Grange is coming to Blanco for its annual convention on July 29, 30, and 31 at the Gem of the Hills Senior Citizen Center. The committees will be considering resolutions originated in Community Granges throughout Texas. The delegates will be adopting the legislative policies for the ensuing year. These resolutions are of national concern, such as health care, etc., will be forwarded to the National Grange for consideration. Resolutions that are of Texas concerns will be furnished to our Texas Legislators such as landowners’ right to sub-surface fresh water. Above are just a couple of resolutions to be considered by the delegate body.
The Grange was organized in 1867 and is still going strong in rural communities in 38 states. You are welcome to visit with us, view the displays, sit through some of the meetings, and learn more about your Texas State Grange. Admission is free.
