Twin Sisters Hermann Sons Lodge #138 and Boy Scout Troop 497, with the support of Super S, conducted a very successful food drive to benefit Blanco Good Samaritan Center.

Scouts Jesse Ferrell, Michael Scott, Thomas Kirkscey and Travis Tomlinson, along with troop leaders Duan Tomlinson and Mark Scott, collected food and cash donations on Saturday, August 6, in the Super S parking lot. Members of Twin Sister Hermann Sons Lodge at the event were Lodge President Phil Hartmann, Karen Steiger, Kent Weber, Helen M. Knoll, and Gertrude and Frances Hartmann.

Troop leader Duan Tomlinson, his wife Tanja and son Travis were guests of the Lodge on Sunday, August 7, at their regular August meeting. President Phil Hartmann presented the Troop with a certificate of appreciation for their community service in "Joining Hands" with the lodge and collecting all the food for Blanco Good Samaritan Center. The lodge and the scouts would like to thank the management of Super S for allowing the boys to set up the tent in their parking lot and to the people of Blanco who stopped by and very generously gave food items and cash.
