Johnson City resident and songwriter Penny Ney will be releasing her single "County Fair" at the Blanco County Fair & Rodeo. She will be singing the song at the grand opening on Friday night.

Penny assembled a top notch group of musicians to record with. Her co-producer for this song was Grammy Award winner Kim Deschamps, a renown musician and producer who currently tours with Cory Morrow and preforms regularly with Walt Wilkens and the Mystequeros.

Penny chose to release her single "County Fair" first at the Blanco County Fair & Rodeo because... "I love Johnson City, Blanco County and the Hill Country! It's what inspired this song. I live here and want to present it here first as a way to give back to this wonderful community and the people in it who have given so much to me over the years. The selfless love and commitment of the Fair directors and participants is a reflection of the goodness you find in a small town. I'm dedicating this song to them."
