Thursday, August 18, 2011 • Posted August 18, 2011

“We are very pleased with Standard and Poor’s evaluation of our financial position,” Superintendent Dr. Buck Ford said in a statement from the district. “It is a credit to everyone who lives within the boundaries of Blanco ISD; our constituents work hard to maintain and promote the distinctive quality of life that makes Blanco and the surrounding area a valued location.

“I also want to give recognition and credit to Blanco ISD Business Manager Kay Fraser, who has faithfully and expertly managed our financial resources, and maintained a solid balance between generous support and investment in our overall educational program, while at the same time maintaining a sufficient reserve to keep our financial position very strong.

“Blanco ISD is proud to have a part in demonstrating the strong economic position and potential that this surrounding area encompasses.”
