JV Football Falls to the Hawks

The Panther JV lost their season opener 8-22 to the Canyon Lake Hawks on August 25. With 2:10 remaining in the first quarter, the Hawks scored a four-yard run. The 2-point conversion attempt failed. The Hawks took the lead 0-6.

The Panthers scored on a quarterback keeper by McKay Adamson. McKay scored the 2-point conversion, diving into the end zone at the pylon. With five minutes remaining in the first half, the Panthers enjoyed an 8-6 lead. But with only seconds before half-time, Canyon Lake scored on a 25-yard pass play and a 2-point conversion pass. The Hawks led 8-14 at the half.

The second half was a defensive struggle until 2:27 left to play in the game; the Hawks scored on a 45-yard pass play and a 2-point conversion run.

Canyon Lake took the win with a final score of 8-22.
