Willow City Hopes to Save Post Office
Wednesday, September 7, 2011 • Posted September 16, 2011

The “Save the Willow City Post Office” group reminds all of the final meeting on Thursday, September 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Willow City Fire Station.

Citizens interested in showing support for keeping the Willow City Post Office open are invited and urged to attend.

The purpose of this Town Hall meeting is for United States Postal Representatives Lou Klegin, Acting Manager of Post Office Operations, and Bill Gilmore, Postmaster of Leander, to read a prepared statement reiterating the Postal Service’s position, explain the Postal Service’s Village Postal Center alternative, and take comments and questions from attendees.

Postal customers, including Willow City Post Office Box customers, the rural route customers using the Willow City zip code, and any area residents and/or property owners using the local post office for any USPS services, will have an opportunity to voice opinions with a Postal Service representative.
