Cowboy Church Hosts Nigeria Mission Report
Wednesday, September 21, 2011 • Posted September 22, 2011

Mike Arnold of Cross Trail Outfitters Ministry was guest speaker at the Blanco Cowboy Church Worship Service on Thursday night, September 15.

Mike had just returned from a 3 1/2 week mission trip to Nigeria, Africa, for the 19th annual Unity for Africa conference.

Mike and his family came dressed in their Nigerian clothing made for them as special gifts by the Nigerian Christians and gave a very interesting slide-show presentation sharing how the Spirit of God is moving mightily in the people of Nigeria.

Mike Arnold said, “We spent much of that first week in a ‘church’ setting. Lots of teaching, etc. But it’s nothing you’ve probably ever seen here in America. I’ve had some great worship experiences here in the U.S., but nothing can prepare you for the experience in Nigeria. The deep passion, faith and joy of the people just pours out and fills the whole place. You can’t help but be swept away. And it’s not the music or the lighting or the mood, it’s the Spirit moving in the people. At multiple churches, I asked folks to raise their hands if they have witnessed first-hand a healing or other true miracle, and every single person shot their hand up. It’s everyday stuff there, just like in Acts. Just like everything else, it’s not a ‘simple’ faith that drives this – in fact, every single person’s Bible that I saw was well worn, underlined, highlighted, and thoroughly used. It’s a deep, abiding, fully engaged faith that brings forth this environment.”
